WELCOME and thank you for visiting the Elmendorf Officers' Spouses' Organization (EOSO) web site. EOSO is a wonderful group of spouses stationed in spectacular Anchorage, Alaska. Our group has two goals: to improve our base through education and charitable offerings, and to promote morale, goodwill, and fellowship among our membership. We accomplish our first goal by raising funds through the Elmendorf Bargain Shop and our annual Arctic Bazaar In 2011 we awarded over $25,000.00 in scholarships and gave even more to charitable causes to raise the quality of life on the base. We accomplish our second goal through Monthly Functions and special activities sure to appeal to a wide range of interests. This Month's Activity will be ANNOUNCED SOON: Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, adjacent to Anchorage, is the largest Air Force installation in Alaska and home of the Headquarters, Alaskan Command (ALCOM), Alaskan NORAD Region (ANR), Eleventh Air Force (11 AF), 3rd Wing, and 673d Air Base Wing. The Eleventh Air Force's three groups and constituent squadrons maintain the defense capability and remote operating sites throughout Alaska. The 3rd Wing's four groups, supporting five flying squadrons, constitute the bulwark of North Pacific defense. Please enjoy our site.
